I came to this work the hard way, and I never got to clock out of the other one.

After losing my daughter, Kailey, I faced a depth of pain I never imagined. I was also, the very next morning, still expected to run a high-volume retail operation. Nobody told my job to wait for me to heal first. Through that heartbreak, something unexpected began to grow: a quiet calling to help other grieving parents find healing, hope, and meaning again, without pretending they have the option to step back from their own lives to do it.

MEET THE HEART BEHIND LIVING LEGACY PATH

— Justin Fox, Founder of Living Legacy Path

The Turning Point: From Surviving to Serving

There was a moment, quiet, almost impossible to notice at the time, when I realized my grief wasn't just something to carry. It was something I could use.

I was journaling late one night, trying to make sense of the pain that had overtaken my life, while still carrying a full leadership role that never once paused for me, when a simple question came through the fog: what if this heartbreak could become a bridge?

A bridge from despair to meaning. From silence to sharing. From surviving to serving, all while the meetings, the schedules, and the people depending on me kept right on going.

That was the spark that became Living Legacy Path: a way to honor Kailey's memory, not instead of the life I still had to lead, but inside it. And now I walk with other parents who are where I once stood, especially the ones still running a team, a household, or a business that doesn't pause for grief either.

Why I Created Living Legacy Path

Because no parent should have to walk through loss alone, and no leader should have to choose between grieving honestly and showing up for the people who need them.

When I lost my daughter, I didn't just lose her. I lost direction, identity, and peace, on top of a job that still needed a manager, not a man falling apart. The world felt cold, and I didn't know how I'd ever find joy again, let alone lead a team through the next quarter.

Living Legacy Path was born from that darkness: a way to reclaim purpose and transform pain into something meaningful, built for people who don't get a season away from their responsibilities to do it.

This isn't just a program. It's a community. A light. A lifeline. A sacred space for grieving parents, especially the ones still leading, to heal, grow, and honor their child in a way that builds a legacy rooted in love.

"This isn't just a program. It's a lifeline."

My Why

If you're walking this path too, still leading, still showing up, still holding it together for everyone who needs you to, I created this for you. You're not alone, and you're not doing it wrong.

Kailey’s Legacy Lives On

In memory of Kailey Fox — daughter, runner, artist, light in this world.

Kailey’s presence touched everyone she met.

She was bright, brave, compassionate — a fierce runner and a gentle soul.

Her legacy continues through every parent this path reaches,

every heart that chooses to turn pain into purpose.

Living Legacy Path is built in her honor —

to remind us all that even after unspeakable loss,

there is still love, still light, and still a way forward.

Forever in our heart.
